Keith Urban

For my birthday Shadd bought us tickets to see Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood in Lexington last night. I really like both artists but the icing on the cake was getting back to my old stomping grounds. Shadd had to endure touring the places I used to live and the Lexington highlights. I do feel really old when I get back on campus!! It really hasn't been that long has it????? Anyway, we ate at Joe Bologna's which is a restaurant in an old church. It has lots of stained glass windows and just real charm. After dinner we met up with my college roommate Shona and her husband Joe. We all went to the concert together. It was such a good time. Lexington has some of the most beautiful scenery of anyplace on earth!
...so on to the concert! IT WAS AMAZING!!!! Shadd is not a huge country music fan but he was blown away by Keith Urban. What a performer he is! It didn't hurt that the majority of the crowd was young attractive girls in a small amount of clothing. The girls in front of us coined a new term that I will forever use. For the really young girls in skimpy clothes they named.... are you ready for this one???????????????

Prostitots! Too funny!!! I love it!

Anyway, thank you honey for amazing time!!! I love you!!!

Obama

Okay, so many who will look at this will have different political interests but today I took an opportunity to listen to Barak Obama speak. The energy and excitement was amazing! It was an opportunity to maybe hear our next president speak. I'm very glad I went and with such a great group of girls!!! It was a blast!!

I did try to shake his hand but was unsuccessful. The hand you see was not mine. :(

Here was the fun bunch!

Sisterly love

The girls requested their hair be put up in "doggy ears" as they call them. They were all smiles!!!

Thunder on the hill

Behind our house is a big hill that is somewhat flat on top. For the past two Thunders, we have been able to see downtown and the fireworks from this spot. We all take our chairs and flashlights and climb up to the top. It's lots of fun and we will all be sad when the hill is gone someday. It's a perfect spot with good neighbors and no traffic jams!
This year was REALLY chilly but we still had a great time!
Here is the view of the fireworks. Not too bad!

Hi Sadie!

Scooter found an older woman to hold hands with!!

The funniest part of the night was watching the Stewarts try to navigate their way home in style! Sarah was a little nervous with Seth's speed going down the street! Seth was just hoping not to get pulled over!!! You guys are the best!!!!

...more dress up fun

I have had a few more requests for dress up pictures. There is never a shortage...that's for sure. Anyway, here are a couple. In the first picture the shorts are infant size. Somehow she squeezed herself into them and still has a smile on her face(or maybe that's a painful look)!!!

The new trend is mismatched shoes
Here is a tutu she got as a gift. She wants to wear it every day!!!! Notice again the show trend! :)

Outside fun!!

The weather was so nice tonight that we decided to let the girls go out and enjoy it. Little did we know that the "big boys" would enjoy it more. Shadd and Seth had a nice little tricycle race for all the neighborhood to witness!! I'm not sure about you Seth, but Shadd was pretty sore last night. He evidently had not used those muscles in a long time!!! Anyway, thanks for the laugh guys!!!
Nice!!

Look at you walking Sadie!!! You go girl!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seth's taking the lead!!!!

It's a comeback Shadd!!!!

Bethany had to try out Scooter's bike

The Cheesecake Factory

We had a nice evening last night at The Cheesecake Factory with the Millers and the Fullers. It was to celebrate Travis's birthday today and mine tomorrow. Travis and I have known each other since Kindergarten but at some point also realized that we were born a day apart at the same hospital. I guess you could say "friends from the crib"!!! Anyway, it was a really good time with great people. Thanks for everything guys and have a great birthday Travis!
