Our little "Princess"

Since Bethany loves dressing up and the whole "princess" idea, we entered her into the Sellersburg Celebrates Prince and Princess Pageant. Believe me...I cannot stand the "Toddler and Tiara " craziness but this was cute and simple and everyone went home with a trophy! Bethany can sometimes test limits and see what she can get away with but I have to say she behaved like a princess. All of the children had to sit and wait a long time and she sat very quietly while many others were running around misbehaving. Bethany we are so proud of you!!!
****If any of you are at the parade next weekend, all of the contestants get to ride on the float. Bethany is really excited!

My girls

The parade into the auditorium

There were 32 prince and princess contestants. They were all adorable!!!

We were thrilled that the dress stayed down.

We were also thrilled that she did such a great job answering the questions!

When we got into the car Bethany said "Mommy, I won!" It melted my heart. Even though she didn't win the title she was so happy to have her princess trophy, she felt like she had won!!!

We are so proud of our girls!!!

State Fair pictures

For the second year I gathered some pictures I have taken and entered them into the Kentucky State Fair. I wasn't super happy with the ones I entered this year but it so much fun to do anyway! So if you happen to be at the fair check them out!!!!

T-ball

Last night Bethany started t-ball. It was quite entertaining. For a girlie-girl she did pretty well. She got a little distracted with a little girl who had pretty pink shoes and a helmet. We are going to have to go over the basics of the bases. She would run to one and then stop. The other players were going around her. It was too funny. She did a great job for her first time. I can't wait to see more!

Daddy telling her she had to run to the next base.

"Look at me!"

Awwwwww! :)

Zoo fun

We had a super time at the zoo last week. It was a beautiful sunny day(for a change) and the humidity was tolerable! I'm really going to miss these summer days!

The girls never get tired of the carousel.

All they talked about was getting to the water park!

The coolest part of the day was feeding the friendly giraffe! He could not get enough leaves and used his SUPER long tongue to get them. I had no idea their tongues were that long! YIKES!

That's Baylee in the white shirt feeding him

Our timing was great with Scotty!! He was putting on a show. The elephants were marching in a row and then sitting up like in the picture. It was lots of fun to watch!!!

This was the baby giraffe. He was so cute but wouldn't turn around so the only pictures I got were of his backside!

Too cute!!!
Rainbows have always been one of my favorite things and last week we saw one of the prettiest ones ever! It was so vivid and we could see it almost from one end to the other. Then as the sun came out it became a double rainbow for a brief moment. I don't think I had ever seen one before! It was breathtaking! I tried to get a few pictures but they will never do it justice!

Teamwork

My van got the royal treatment recently when my family decided to wash it. The girls love helping daddy with the lower half of the vehicles. Thanks guys!!! You're the best!

Bogey wanted in on the action

More Bogey

Just a few more pictures of our new baby. He is doing well, loving all the attention and being a pure puppy! We love him to pieces!
His little face just makes me smile every time!

Oh no, we're not there yet are we?

The other night the girls had gone to their rooms and when I went to check on them, this is what I found:

I had to laugh, even though it is sad that we are beginning down that road to their independence!
