Fun cousin time

Yesterday afternoon my cousin Melissa, her mother Gerri and her daughter Hannah came to visit. We don't get to see them very often so it was really nice to catch up! The girls had a super time and wore each other out playing. We really enjoyed the day and look forward to many more when they move closer!
My girls decided at some point to change into leotards. I know.. no big surprise!!! I love how the three girls are perfect stairsteps

Baylee was reading to HannahThis was a picture of Melissa and me in 1980. We were both only children so she was always like my little sister. This was a picture of us on a joint family trip and with my Granny in the back. Thanks so much guys for dressing us alike! Real cool!

Introducing baby Elise!!!!!

Matt and Olivia welcomed baby Elise last Wednesday. We finally got to visit yesterday due to my badly timed sinus infection. She is absolutely beautiful and I'm going to need lots of baby fixes and lucky for me she's just across the street! We are so happy for you guys!! You did good!

Saturday evening Sarah and the kids came over to play. The girls were super excited!!! Come play again soon!

Future Cheerleader?

Baylee participated in a cheer clinic at the local college recently. It was an all day affair with the girls(and boys) performing at half-time of the basketball game. It was really cute and they all did a great job!

Veteran's Day

It has been a while since I blogged so I am going to try to play some catch-up.
Baylee sang with her Kindergarten class in a Veteran's day program at her school. It was really cute. One of her friends' dad is serving overseas right now so her mom took a video of the program to mail to him. It was very touching and definitely brought it close to home.

Coloring Contest

Baylee won a coloring contest for the high school play "The Secret Garden". She was awarded two free tickets to the show. She got to go up on stage and was given a framed certificate and a flower with the name of the play on it. We were so proud!

She wanted daddy to go up on stage with her. She said it was really embarrassing! Too funny!

Happy Halloween!!

Last night the girls had a great time trick or treating. We started out in our neighborhood and then drove to Nana and Pops' neighborhood. It was jam-packed but lots of fun!

The girls were ready to go!

Supergirl
Little Red Riding Hood
We were getting ready to go and Shadd came out with his pajama pants on. I thought he had for some reason decided to let me tackle Halloween solo but he informed me that the girls kept asking what he was dressing up as. He instantly became "IU Man." Whatever floats your boat babe! So here are my three favorite people!
Baylee was really excited to trick or treat for a while with Grace

Friday fun day!

Today we had a half day of school so Baylee and I decided to have girls day out this afternoon. We went to lunch with Nana(thanks Nana!) and then Baylee and I went to see High School Musical 3. It was a really cute movie and we had a great time. I am really enjoying doing "girlie things" with my big girl. She is growing up so fast. I am enjoying these days while I can and we look forward to sissy joing us on more of these outings.

Trick or Treat...take one!

Our city decided to make Halloween really confusing this year because of a football game. They moved trick or treat to Thursday night. The kids loved this because they could go out two night. It did make our travels a little less rushed by spreading it out. Anyway, We did the driving trick or treat on Thursday. We visited neighbors from our first house. This was pre-kids. They were great neighbors and we miss them very much. They watched out for us. Anyway, I think they enjoyed seeing the girls and the girls loved the candy(and said mom and dad talked too long!). I only took two pictures on this night.

Carving Pumpkins

I'm a few days behind with all the craziness this week but at the beginning of the week the girls had fun helping daddy carve pumpkins.
